        • A Special Reading Task* (online lesson 12)

Hi, from this week on, you will only get 1 English homework/week, so these exercises will be a little bit more demanding*, and sometimes you will have to use your creativity, as well. Like in todays homework:

Your homework: I haven't heard your voices in ages*, and I miss you all. smiley Because of this, you have to make an audio (or video) recording* of yourself reading an English text! You can choose any text from your English book or from your favorite novel and read it aloud*. The only condition* I have is that the recording must be at least* 60 seconds long!

          So, what should you do?

          1. use a text from your book, for example the text about the unusual hotels. Pro tip: there are some great stories at the end of your English book, starting from page 82. You can use your favorite novel, too, if you got grade 2 or 1 from English (I would be more than happy, if you'd do that).
          2. if there is an audio recording of the text, listen to it a couple of times* (for example: Unusual Hotels, recording: Page 58, Exercise 1b)
          3. choose a part* that you like and start reading it aloud
          4. PRACTICE! Read it aloud a couple of times
          5. when you feel that you can read it fluently*, record* yourself (remember, the recording has to be at least 1 minute long)
          6. listen to the recording, and if you are not satisfied*, record yourself again
          7. send me the recording to my e-mail address or to Edupage.

You can make an audio/video recording of yourself with any mobile phone now, so I will not accept any excuses*! If you don't have an audio recording program on your mobile, download one.

Since I know, that you miss my voice too, I have decided that I'm going to motivate you by recording myself. smiley So here is me reading short parts from 2 of my favorite books. CLICK! (By the way, it took me like 6 tries until I was satisfied with my reading...)
